I find the Hori split pad pro to be a bit too big for my hands and while it's more comfortable then joy cons, I still find it awkward. For starters, it feels much bigger then a ps4 pad and there isn't any grips to hold on too, either. Making precise aiming on fps to be quite hard there is almost a grip to hold on to but not quite.

So despite an increase in bulk, using the Split Pad Pro makes the Nintendo Switch lighter in the hands compared to using the JoyCon.
